This quick and easy chocolate cake recipe, my favorite all the time, with fantastic chocolate sauce and some chocolate covered strawberries. Also, you can use the same recipe for cupcakes and layers of cake, see the note.
How to make chocolate cake from scratch?
Servings For : 6 – 8 People Prep Time : 40 Minutes
For the cake:-
2 cups granulated sugar
1 3/4 cup flour
3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
salt 1 teaspoon
2 large eggs
2 cups milk or 1 cup buttermilk, and 1 cup boiling water
1/2 cup corn or vegetables oil
2 teaspoons vanilla
The chocolate sauce:-
1/3 cup melted butter + 2 tablespoons coco powder
How to make CHOCOLATE COVERED STRAWBERRIES
You only need a good quality Chocolate, Bittersweet, semi-sweet, or milk chocolate.
Heat oven to 350°F.
Using non-stick cooking spray. spry your cake baking pan and sit aside.
Stir together sugar, flour, cocoa, baking powder, baking soda and salt in large bowl.
Add eggs, milk, oil and vanilla; beat on medium speed of mixer 2 minutes.
Pour the cake mixture into prepared pans.
Bake 30-40 minutes then let it Cool down. To make the chocolate sauce in the microwave melt the butter then add the cocoa powder and mix it well.
If you are wondering !!! CAN I USE THIS RECIPE TO MAKE CUPCAKES? Yes! This recipe will make about 30 cupcakes (filled 2/3 full with batter). Bake at 350°F for about 22-25 minutes. a 9×13” One Layer Cake
• Grease 9×13” pan with non-stick cooking spray. Pour batter into prepared pan. Bake at 350 degrees F. for 35 to 40 minutes. Cool completely. And then add frosting between the layers.
• You can make the fantastic chocolate frosting by mixing few ingredients together with heavy whipping cream cocoa powder and powder sugar.
HOW TO MELT CHOCOLATE FOR DIPPING:
The easiest way to melt chocolate is in a double boiler or in the microwave. If you don’t own a double boiler, you can make your own with a simple saucepan and heat-safe glass bowl (see tutorial below).
Line cupcake pan with paper liners and fill 2/3 full with batter. Bake cupcakes for 22 to 25 minutes. Cool completely completely before frosting. Makes 24-30 cupcakes.
