Quick Tabouli or Tabbouleh Recipe

Tabbouleh is vegetarian salad made mostly of finely chopped parsley It’s so tasty delicious and healthy.

Servings for: 4-6 Prep Time: 15 Minutes

INGREDIENTS:-

1/2 cup extra fine bulgur wheat

3 large tomatoes

1 English cucumber finely chopped

2 bunches parsley part of the stems removed, and finely chopped

10-15mint, leaves

4 green onions, white and green parts, very finely chopped

1/4 cup olive oil

1/4 cup lemon juice

1 tablespoons alt .

Some people add lettuce, or use semolina instead of bulgur.

DIRECTIONS:-

Step 1:-

Wash the bulgur wheat and soak it in water for 5-7 minute . Drain very well (squeeze the bulgur wheat by hand to get rid of any excess water). Set aside

Step 2:-

Very finely chop the vegetables, herbs and green onions . Be sure to place the tomatoes in a colander to drain excess juice.

Step 3:-

Place the chopped vegetables, herbs and green onions in a mixing bowl or dish. Add the bulgur and season with salt Lemon juice and oil.

Step 4:-

For best results, cover the Tabouli and refrigerate for 20 minutes. Transfer to a serving platter. ENJOY Tabouli is traditionally served as part of a mezze in the Arab world.
