The key to this rice pudding is a very high ratio of milk (a full 6 cups) to rice (just 1cup). You may think when you start that there’s no way it will thicken up enough but it magically does.

How to make Rice Pudding Old Fashioned in home?
1 cup rice
3 cups water
6 cups milk (whole milk)
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cap full rose water
sugar 1 cup
1 pack vanilla sugar
1 tablespoons cornstarch in 5 tablespoons of milk.
Wash your rice with water then drain it.
In a large saucepan add your washed rice and 3 cups of water, cover and lower heat to low, and let it cook for 10 minutes or until cooked and still have a small amount of liquid.
Remove the cover and add the 6 cups of milk, vanilla, sugar, salt, and rose water, let it cook for 10 minutes.
Mix the cornstarch with 5 tablespoons of milk then add it to the rice pudding mixture, turn the heat off after 2 minutes. Stir in rice and reduce heat to low. Be sure to adjust the heat so that it is at a gentle simmer.
Pour the mixture into small bowls top it with some coconut, and cinnamon.
