Who doesn’t know taco?
The word TACO comes from the Nahuatl word ‘tlahco’ which means “half or in the middle”, referring to the way it is formed.
Are you guessing which country eat taco the most Of course you might guess that( Mexico) eats the most tacos in the world. You also might assume that the United States is second, but no. Norway is #2 in taco consumption world wide.
Taco is a Mexican dish consisting of a fried tortilla, typically folded, filled with various mixtures, such as seasoned meat, And toppings too, that are perfect for any taco night.
1. Beans (black beans, refried beans)
2. Shredded Cheese.
Taco can comes in different filling :-
Ground beef , Steak , Shrimp , Chicken, Pork and Fish.
Today we are going to make ground beef tacos.
Servings for: 4-6 People Prep Time:30 Minutes
For the filling
1 pound 85% to 93% lean ground beef.
Chopped onion 1
Taco seasoning 1 tablespoons
I Do make my own seasoning by mixing :
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
Garlic powder 1/2 teaspoon
onion powder 1/2 teaspoons
chili powder 1/2 teaspoon
black pepper 1/2 teaspoons
salt 1/2 teaspoon
1/2 teaspoons cumin
tomato sauce 1/2 teaspoons
3 tablespoons water
Corn or flour tortillas, warmed
Sharp cheddar cheese,
Fresh salsa (tomato onion jalapeño salt and pepper)
Heat a skillet over medium heat. you can add 1 teaspoon of olive oil (of your oil of preference). Once the skillet it hot, add the ground beef and break it apart with a wooden spoon.
Cook, stirring until it begins to brown. Add in the cumin, paprika, garlic powder, chili powder, salt and pepper. Stir well to disperse all the seasonings. Cook until the beef cooked.
Now add 1/2 teaspoons tomato sauce with 3 tablespoons water let cook until mixture thicker.
Serve the ground beef in tacos.
(warm corn or flour tortillas in the oven for a few minutes),
Or Fried tortilla ( add 1/3 cup oil to a pan then add the tortilla slowly then Fold it from the middle. Fry it for about 1minutes.
You can make taco bowl add some lettuce to the bottom of your bowl then add your beef top it chopped onion, cheddar cheese, avocado slices.
